honestly surprised we did not see Grandma' Nonna here. it's just another portrait of the time difference for sure, but at the same time i now feel sad we don't get to see her one more time. to think we've shared more than 60 years with this elf already is pretty wild, and the authore is able to deliver the passage of time quite well.

Some things are just not possible on your own. No kind of teleportation or other travel-worthy magic seems to exist here and even if he did have the kind of expertise needed to design and implement a modern world-like transit method, he'd need an entire nation to get involved with it, functionally jump-starting an industrial revolution. Currently he's averse to intervening even in life or death matters for a nation he supposedly favours, so causing such a huge civilizational shift is most likely out of the question.

Feels like being a sociopath would be a requirement to be an immortal or a semi one if you mingle with normal mortals. Or maybe an inevitable end state.

i get this horriable feeling the mentions of fort the fact war could break out any day and he's all "i can accept people dying now" i suspect some sluaghter in that town on the one time he isn't around is incoming and he who is basicly a walking natural disaster will explode if he starts smithing again he might need to go out for some fancy ore is my thoughts and when he gets bk after a few days of that it will just be a burnt out hollow
