So many reasons. Reasons she doesn't even know about yet.I wonder if there is a specific reason why she wanted him to read her manga so badly.
Most of the extras are flash-forwards. Using one of your examples, we haven't reached Valentine's in the main continuity yet. (I think this chapter is some time in October.)Okay, this is one of the VERY few instances where I'd agree with anyone calling the MC dense. It's not even about whether she likes you, dude. She was waiting at the gates, followed you to give you the manga cause she wouldn't be at the library later. That's it, she was waiting for you TO GIVE YOU SOMETHING. No need for complicated teenage feelings...
Speaking of the library, lul at the poor guy's attempt at hiding his boner.
@Reveraiv Hmm... I'm not sure I agree about the author knowing her stuff. It's actually been bothering me for a while.
First off, we've had MANY Extra chapters with A LOT of development that later seems lost. I mean, I've never read a manga with 2 extra chapters per 1 main chapter, but extras are still canon. This gurl already gave him a ton of chocolate for valentine's, and while she disguised it as a game, she was 100% on attack.
We've also had a main chapter, the one of the choco-mint, where she yelled "Suki da" in front of the whole school, and was totally fine with it. She sometimes teases, and sometimes chases (albeit sneakily).
And then there's this chapter where she can't even tell him "No? I was waiting for you"? It's not even a big deal, she HAD to give him the manga. But she's too shy to do that.
Idk, I like the manga, but from a development perspective is messy as fuck. So I'm not sure the author "knows her stuff", no...
I have come years later to ask you if you cringed from rereading your commentMa boi have improved from his killer emo phrase from chapter 1
#may i not cringe when i read this comment years later...
She's gotta realize that she likes him now, right? She's so...proactive now.
Yamada realized in previous chapter, when Ichikawa bought her the Milk Tea. The feelings themselves appear much earlier, for sure. In a discussion of some previous chapters, people have also speculated that the start of the Yamada's feelings is around Chapter 19.I'm re-reading this and kinda surprises me how early in the story (like from chapter 15) Yamada's been crazy for Ichikawa. Makes everything more wholesome n.n
come one dude, can you be more dense?
Mc so dense the light bends around him.
@Melansjf very dense, though his density makes sense, he's the sort who's self esteem is low enough that he thinks people just see him as lesser, so it's not like he'd pick up on any hints
Call this man a neutron star.
On the other hand, Ichikawa is still in denial. Insecurities are a bitch.God he's so fucking dense
The deal here is that quite a few of Twitter extras are out of the continuity of the main story – they show future events. The Valentine's Day extra was released on the IRL date February 14th, but in the main story (as of this chapter), it's the end of autumn.Okay, this is one of the VERY few instances where I'd agree with anyone calling the MC dense. Sorry, I can't see Yamada having the feelings for Ichikawa at chapter 19. At that point, she's truly treating him like a friend, in the way she thinks male friends behave between ourselves: bumping bodies. I'm more for the chapter 22, first because it is closer to the watershed chapters 25-27, and because she experienced that closeness with Ichikawa (represented by her blushing) that will later become key at chapter 26.Yamada realized in previous chapter, when Ichikawa bought her the Milk Tea. Isn't chapter 19 where she basically acts jealous of his sister before she realizes she's his sister? It's like an unconscious jealousy, but it's still jealousy, according to comments at the time. And then she follows him and 'bumps' because she knows she wants to interact with him more, but doesn't realize quite why until the 'watershed chapters', seems to be the reasoning.Sorry, I can't see Yamada having the feelings for Ichikawa at chapter 19.
