Thoughts on Villainess or Nobles as a Theme.

After reading a bunch of fantasy mangas I've found that a bunch of them had a villainess theme or heavily implies their positions on the monarchy in the story(aka "Nobles" since I didn't have a better way to word it).

Honestly, I enjoy the otome game isekai genre quite a lot. This includes the villainess sub-genre or just the noble fantasy type in general. I enjoy them more than regular isekai manga, at any rate.

Yeah at this point, otome/villianess/noble should be a tag.

I think it should be called "otome" because every single one of these mangas reincarnate specifically into otome games. Not all otome mangas have a FMC and villianess and noble are more akin to tropes rather than subgenre.

It would be nice if it was tag to make filtering them out easier.

Also, considering that there's a gyaru tag, I dont think it'll do any harm to add it especially how it's growing in popularity.

Yeah if there's any new tags to add, it should be otome. It's basically a new subgenre of isekai at this point and should be tagged as such for convenience in searching.

I feel like I've seen this sort of suggestion being suggested before.. didn't remember the conclusion though.

With nobles I think it sort of fit the bill, with the usual MC is born as one but then try either escape from that status or maintaining it so they didn't fall to ruin of the sort, you can kind of see what nobles do and how their nobility status works (maybe.. we don't have a nobles at our place so I don't know lol).

Having a villainess tag seems warranted seeing as it's one of the biggest subgenres at this point.

On the question of the specific tag I prefer "villainess" because a lot of the Korean (and some Japanese) villainess manhwa are (in the story) based on a novel rather than an otome game. Or you could have both "villainess" and "otome" tags for good measure, just that there would be a lot of overlap.

I'd also say that "Villainess" would cover more ground than just "Otome."
Like Soren59 said, a lot of these stories are about reincarnating in a novel rather than an otome game, and some also have no reincarnation at all but still use the "villainess" trope.
