I think Hatori should've stayed longer to open more of his character. But well, he's stupid as fuck, delusional so much about her ability it could've been boring and I know the author knew it would be boring too. Relying too much on off-screen information rather than hidden ones that needed some work to the reader to understand by themselves without the need for Spica to open her mouth to tell us about it would be much better. Some kind of: "THE ANSWER WAS EXPLAINED AT THE START RIGHT OFF THE BAT!"
I guess our author will keep this for a better antagonist and reverse roles where Spica is truly the one challenged by the new antagonist.

Haha yeah.
This manga reminds me of that Thai show about a girl that enters people's lives and then exposes evil in each episode. I wonder if this will also be that kind of manga (chronicles).
But maybe she'll end up facing greater opposition, which I think would make this manga really interesting (but as Walrus said, it could then become either a masterpiece or absolute trash)

Yeah can herbicide kill people?? Dunno but I did think he was dumb with the whole coffee thing, like she literally baited him by suggesting coffee and the fool absolutely jumped on it, if he had've just physical attacked her like the other girl this would have been a short manga lol

He didn't just need to kill her. He also needed to cover it up so he wouldn't go to prison and get executed, which is the more difficult part.

Ngl, I think killing off Hatori-sensei like this was brilliant, he was a person that was really hard to like and the author really made it so you'd feel he deserved his death even at this point. A little bit dissappointed that it was supernatural powers and not some natural instinct or something, but still not the end of the world.

there's been confusion with her name, but the correct one is Tsumugi Spica. because kanji can be read differently especially with names, most manga usually provided furigana for names which some authors even use as an opportunity to create unconventional readings/names such as this one (Supica/Spica).

and so that there would be no more confusion, i checked internet archive beforehand to see if JP editors did a quick change, but the furigana for her name both in the JP summary and the raw chapter itself appears to have remained as Tsumugi Supica/Spica つむぎ すぴか

This was a fun opener, but I guess the real story starts next chapter since we just killed the only other relevant character in the story. And this isn't really the kind of twist you can do more than once. Now either we go more into Spica's life or introduce the next victim/antagonist. Hopefully the author can continue coming up with more interesting scenarios.

That's a pretty good twist about the power, especially with the call back to her simply holding his hand and then calling him a liar. Glad to see that he isn't the MC and she is instead though given the title's called Spica of Sin and Punishment, it makes sense.
