i am not talking about literal v-tuber, just a chanel on youtube that has 70k subscriber is already alot. step aside a chanel on youtube, even though it is v-tuber, 70k subscriber already alot too, considering there's a bunch of vtuber out there, its not including the oversea vtuber though, only Japan.

Are you what? Comparing 70k subs to a channel with more subs? No, I guess you're not. But the other users in this thread are. And while they never directly said that 70k is not a lot compared to bigger channels, most people would know that's what they meant.

The other day I saw a screenshot of antis discussing about ways to harass Coco irl and in her alt account and man that makes my blood boil. If they do harass Coco or Haato I hope Cover counterdox them to the ground.

@Xzayer Unfortunately this IS a political issues. It's about money, antis and personal safety that came with annoying Chinese government that tries really hard to de-legitimized Taiwan, because they're basically a country found by those that lose the Chinese civil war, and the communist winner in the mainland still trying to claim Taiwan as part of China (the island itself is historically part of China territory, so they do have some claims) and get angry at any mention of Taiwan not being part of them. This incident might just be some of the more "brainwashed" chinese citizens having knee-jerk reactions rather than a state operation, I think.

Also about Aki having ralatively low subs, next Coco's weekly meme review was going to to hvae Aki as guest, so this didn't help...

@Xzayer CCP doesn't want anyone to admit Taiwan isn't under China's jurisdiction. This, on top of Chinese nationalists doxxing Hololive members on top of the fact that China has HoloCN as their hostages on top of the fact that Cover's apology letter in English doesn't mention China while the Chinese version explicitly states the regret to disrespecting the One China whatever it is.

Situation's complicated. All the fans are arguing over who's to blame: on Cover, Coco and Haato, or CCP. None of these arguments is helping along with the harassers from China being active.

My opinion is that Cover had to pick between two evils: either risk the entire CN branch or suspend Coco and Haato for 3 weeks to make China happy and they consider the latter to be the lesser of two evils. They need to take notes from Nijisanji on how to manage their Chinese branch.

@DANDAN_THE_DANDAN Covercorp is really shit at protecting their talent. They need to overhaul their support system for their streamers desperately. Dedicated chat mods and subreddit mods at the very least. They also need a support team in place to ensure videos aren't copyright struck for the games they play. Then there's the need for a support team outside of the 1 manager they get because they're up a creek without a paddle if their manager is a piece of shit like Mel's was.

All of this was predictable as soon as they entered the CN market, though, and I'm not surprised it was Coco and Haachama that triggered this (though it could be said Coco did it to take heat off Haachama). They both seem like they'd know the least about the Japan-China Joint Communique (Japan recognizes the One-China Policy).

I think the best response from the fans is to show as much support for Coco and Haato without stirring up a hateful shitstorm themselves. I liked the idea of trying to get Haato to 600k like she originally planned this week.


Edit: I also firmly believe that some of the more influential talents should hold positions of authority within covercorp.
