Haruka isn't attracted to men. But, the story seems to be setting up East-san as a potential love interest. I'm hoping that East-san is actually a woman. If East-san is a guy, then I hope the story doesn't move in that direction.

Also, Haruka should come clean with Corin. He doesn't have to tell her his whole back story about being an old man in a woman's body. But he should at least tell her that he's attracted to women; and that is the reason he leaves the room every time she gets naked to bath. She'll probably figure it out on her own in the future, just from his actions alone: consistently avoiding seeing her naked and total lack of romantic interest in men.

"Don't think" is saying "don't think you won", so it fits.
Ahh. I could see that.

Plus, end notes aren't part of the manga, the guy didn't put effort into it, so I think they know the grammar and phrasing are off. It just doesn't matter.

The reason I mentioned the end notes, was to highlight that he still needs a little work at improving his grammar, before considering going back and redoing his old work. I think he is putting in effort. If you go and read some of the older manga he's scanlated, you can see him improving over time. He's asking for feedback in his end notes; so it does matter to him.

Took the time to re-read the chapters you've made so far, and apart from a few pages in the early chapters, i'd argue it wouldnt really be worth the time to redo the early chapters whole.
Thanks for scanlating this series. :)

Haruka continues to fuel my headcanon that she is aroace. I cant remember any time when she mentioned anything regarding what kind of romantic and/or sexual attraction she does expirience that isnt giving some reason why she wouldnt expirience that attraction to whoever gets talked about and iirc it always relates to having been a middle aged man. It just feels so much like the denial I was in before finding out I am aroace.
Tho I feel like this will just be something that will keep being nothing more than a headcanon.

E He's a discreet person; it's not just romance that he keeps to himself, but he always gives off the feeling that he has some kind of feeling he doesn't want to express to the outside world.
In his case, it's kind of the same thing; he hasn't found anyone who catches his attention romantically, much less someone who catches his attention purely sexually. So we don't have a moment where we see him express his heterosexuality; in the world's case, it would be homosexuality, since it would be the interest of one woman in another. Ultimately, the character isn't really thinking about it, isn't thinking about whether he likes men or women, he's just going through life's problems.
He doesn't seem bothered by the "girl talk" with the girl in the group; he simply cleared up the misunderstanding that he wasn't interested in the guy, that he wasn't seeing him as a romantic prospect. I see this chapter more as a barometer for the audience, to see how they react to the possibility of him starting to get involved with other men, than anything else.
The character is more inclined to "accept anyone who can win him over" than to "have a defined preference and actively pursue men or women." Or, being an asexual character, in which case, the author's asexuality suggests that the audience wouldn't accept the protagonist being "the conquered princess" in the relationship, which can be won by for the man or woman who can open his shy little heart and awaken it to something "more than friendship".
There's a novel, I don't remember the name, where that's exactly what happens; the protagonist is an adventurer who ends up becoming a woman, losing all the physical advantages of being a man and... As the situation unfolds, he begins a relationship with and falls in love with another man. He wasn't gay before; he didn't start liking men because he transitioned to a woman, he grew fond of that person for whom that person was, regardless of gender; it was a sincere romance between two individuals who came to see each other as indispensable in their own lives Without biological determinism, without being guided by gender, something that just happened, and those who have read it agree that this was the natural course of things, simply liking who you started to like. I don't know if that's the direction the author wants to take, and if he does, whether he'll be able to execute it.
Ps: Sorry for the terrible English, I don't write in English, I only read it, but I was too lazy to use Google Translate and write everything I had to say. Instead, I used the translator built into the standard Android keyboard, which has a character limit for each block of translated text.

I'd say no need to put a lot more extra work on yourself. Let the old stuff stand by as it is and focus on what you can now! You'll always feel some regret over old work, but that's growth.

Also more genderbend art lets fucking GOOOO

Haruka really needs to sit down for a day or two to get to know her own capabilities properly.
I think that was partially the point of the scene when Haruka punched the barriers, to learn a bit about her strength. And the arm here is exactly the type of thing that she was worried about when she mentioned being "human like everyone else".

She mentions to herself in a very early WN chapter that since she transmigrated she doesn't really feel those impulses anymore, but it is unclear if it's something with her new body or her own self or if it's just a literal "don't have time, too busy vibing" kinda thing. Haruka, as a narrator and character, has a tendency to just don't dwell much on things - since when she does it, she usually goes into a self-depreciating rant, specially around this time (in the manga) of the story.

Right now, 200+ chapters into WN englishj translation and there's no indication whatsoever of any romance for Haruka tho, so I don't think you are far from mark

Poor Haruka.

Page 2 panel 1:
-So that was a vampire...

Should be
So that is a vampire...

Or
So that's a vampire...

Page 5 panel 2:
He grow a wing...

Should be
He grew wings!

Thank you for translating! Could you perhaps use an English proofreader?

I think you could very well be correct. Many middle-aged men in manga are depicted as quite perverted, so it's either a self-justification or just Haruka not really ever thinking about it. Haruka is Haruka, and in the end s/he has even from a very young age displayed that s/he doesn't, and never had any interest in romance or sexuality. That's definitely intentional, which is a cool touch by the author!

There is a good chance most manga authors have never even heard of the term before, never mind the concept. It's still a fairly recent introduction into western public conscious, and extremely niche in the world of manga. Slowly, though, things are changing!

C-Could it be... the mythical isekai baby Japanese!?
As of chapter 450 in the WN (earlier, but that's where the English translation is at right now), Haruka questions this, and very slightly suspects it may be the case. The baby, a male born into the world, was originally a 16 year old girl who had a terrible life, was abused, and was ultimately murdered in a back alley. I believe this was done because had it been a 16 year old boy, a lot of things they do/say would make little sense and/or be fairly creepy.
Haruka really needs to sit down for a day or two to get to know her own capabilities properly.
Good news, that starts to happen soon in the WN at this point in the story.
I will never understand that "not chasing after the bad guy" trope.
In the WN, Haruka actually launched a fireball at him as he escaped and just wasn't able to land a square hit. He flew away at high speed.
Haruka eventually does come clean with all of them, and they're all cool with it because they know Haruka would never do anything to compromise Collin.

I believe the manga already briefly brushed on this, but when Haruka was a teenage boy, he and a girl fell in love with each other. However, due to being too afraid to hurt her, he never showed his feelings towards her, and she broke up (in tears) with him over his lack of communication (she thought he didn't love her). He only began to recover from this during the scene with Al having to chase after her about staying in the party.

As for why that happened: At a crucial moment in his life, Haruka asked his parents an important question about life (relationships in general, not strictly romantic ones) and they were having a bad day and gave a "don't bother asking anything like this" answer, causing him to socially recede for the rest of his life. Those parents died in an accident in his early 20s, so it's not like they had a chance to see he wasn't dating in his late 20s and ask why and fix their mistake before it was too late.

As far as the public conscious goes, I'm pretty sure asexuals have been known in the west (even the Roman republic-turned-empire) for over 2 millenia. Even earlier and in other places, too. They're just not part of any scandals, so they're not brought up with much enthusiasm.

Let me quote Jesus and the disciples from Matthew 19:10-12.

[The disciples said to Him, “If the relationship of the man with his wife is like this, it is better not to marry.” But He (Jesus) said to them, “Not all men can accept this statement, but only those to whom it has been given. For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are also eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. He who is able to accept this, let him accept it.”]

The context is that Jesus was originally talking about marriage and divorce, and hearing his answer to the pharisees, his disciples got a little scared of the commitment required in marriage, as Jesus was raising the bar compared to their culture's interpretation of the scriptures. Most of those disciples would eventually marry.

If you're wondering about what "made eunuchs by men" means, one common thing for any king or royalty with a harem to do was to have all male attendants of the harem castrated.

But, the born from the womb comment would cover asexual men, so the understanding of the concept is, as you can see, quite old.

Seeing that tick's face squash against Haruka's barrier is hilarious!

Hey, PersonalistX, if you want to rescanlate your old chapters to a higher quality, that would be great! Just don't push yourself too hard, please.

Thank you for the translation, PersonalistX! I just binged all 37 chapters so far, and my favorite part of every chapter was thinking "I wonder if the translator got better at drawing again." You've really improved amazingly over the last two years!

East stunlocked for a moment seeing Haruka rip a full grown vampire's arm clean off.

By accident.

"Holy crap, lady." 😂
