Interestingly, the original line actually goes "ママの顔さえも見れなかった", which literally translates to "I couldn't even see my mother's face". So... yeah. LOL.

Mate, I read this chapter as carefully as I could, I even went back and read the chapter 4 more times after I saw people saying that was her mother and I still found nothing.
They kept referring to her as "she", "her" or "you". And if she had appeared in earlier chapter then that still means nothing, I bookmark over 350 titles and I have a real life added on top, so excuse me if I can't remember a character face that appeared once dozen of chapters before.

He's out of line, but he's got a point. Besides, he gave you an out by talking about you speedreading, meaning you didn't pay attention and missed the copious amounts of her being referred to as her mom and even the entire hair cut arc(?). The latter one is a douche move to be sure and a bit petty in a forum about mangoes, but if all of that is not from lack of attention, but from lack actual comprehension -from reading or otherwise- he wouldn't be all that wrong. That's literal object permanence level of stuff.
