Cuz given how Eumi looks to her I can take an explanation of not being able to differentiate between one mass of darkness clump vs another and shoot Eumi without realizing it.

But if it's just straight up 'u die now' backstab after all the...friendliness? recently it feels out of character.

LN heroine is simply your usual idiot heroine. she tried backstabbing FMC with trio idiots "in demon lord castle in demon lord subju quest" cuz in fairy tales she loved, black haired is a witch and should be purged and she choose that place of all place to pull her stunt, then surprised when demon lord intervenced

So, I read the 1st LN and the Heroine still betrays the MC like in the WN but she doesn't die cause Yumelia saves the 3 fucktards before the Demon Lord can finish them off. AND THEY ONLY get put under house arrest. Bruh.

My disappointment( in her ) is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.

I'm usually not particularly conscious of stuff like this, but the sentences sound pretty awkward, the TL notes are distracting, there's that untranslated text on page 6, "this feels very strange.z" on page 8, and the text often does not fit the boxes.

I mean, this is fairly normal? Have you not read the other isekai into a the villainess manga?

They are all pure MC bashing stories, because that is what the original one that got popular was about, and many other "I am the villian" isekai are. None of them make much sense plotwise, because the plot doesn't matter.

The only reason to read any of this is the fluff, you can completely ignore the plot, because characters do not act like real people, not even by Japanese or manga standards, and those are already low if you account for western culture differences and manga craziness.

I'm just here to ask you WN/LN readers if this gets any better and is worth reading. Cause reading the first 4 chapters, the characters' personalities are all about as deep as a puddle. The spoilers given this chapter doesnt give me any hope that it does get better

Pretty much what the 1st person who replied to you said, Yumelia's personality gets in the way sometimes. But leads to comedic events. Also, she's probably the main reason later arcs happen how they do.

Later arcs include, other Yumelia Arc. Where she breaks the level cap. WN volume 3 iirc. Or the other country arc which is the 4th volume iirc. MC almost ends the world from how shallow she is. (Context: after she breaks the level cap, the orbs only show her last 2 digits. So when the prince of the other nation checks her level, it only shows up as 13? Or 18, don't remember. And he starts mocking how weak she is. So she gets gloomy and the world starts ending.) (More Context on her strength: After breaking the level cap, her punching at full force can break space time and open up rifts to other worlds.)

If your're looking for character development, no. The story won't get any better, Yumelia is the same girl who lacks common sense, Patrick is the one who "keeps her in control" but always fails because Yumelia will still do something stupid and Eleanora is still airhead (these 3 characters are the one we see more in the next volumes).

The plot itself peak at volume 1

Spoiler: a quick summary of next volumes

Because it's where the whole "Demon Lord" and Otome game thing ends.

Volume 2 is the worst of the series, we don't have the "school" setting (everyone graduated) and a clear antagonist, so Yumelie got involved with gods from that world.

Volume 3 is more interesting, because Yumelia is able to travel between worlds so she meets another Yumelia and this version is where she destroyed the world after she became the final boss. This other Yumelia has a different personality and is not stupid as our main girl.

also you still have to wait a fair bit for the betrayal, still time for the mindbreak

I know it's not in the WN for sure, that's why I even posted a comment back in ch 17 that given this direction the manga's going (there's been some manga that's gone differently than the source) can they even pull that scene off anymore.

By the looks of it the JP skill isn't really the problem, but more the quality control.

No need to beat yourself up about things that are fine, just work on the flaws(which in this case could be mostly fixed, by being more careful or having someone check over it for QC)

If it's about the English part of the work, it isn't the hardest thing to find someone to support you a little.
