Alriiiiight. They speedran the low self-esteem, self-deprecating, bullying arc. Just a personal opinion, I hate it when the main character goes through an arc where he lets everybody step all over him and puts himself down constantly, until a stronger person/love interest defends him, says he's worth something, and he gains more confidence after like 20 chapters.
I'd much rather the main character find his self-worth himself through maybe finding a passion or something, rather than having to have someone else prop him up for him. A protagonist pulling through purely because of another person CONSTANTLY propping him up makes me think "grow a backbone, man". Instead, I prefer it when they start to like themselves by growing independently, like Tadano in Komi-san
