Disappointing way of doing this trope. I doubt he is brainwashed, just the im sacrificing myself so you girls can have better. The chapters are too short and we are not given enough details and everyone already hated this guy so I don't know what to feel. Not as well done as the manga the mage guy and the white haired elf slave. I hope they leave the school after all this and they believe he does care and can see though this bullshit situation.

i said I was gonna give this story a chance till chapter 35 but Jesus Christ man this looks its heading into the wrong direction (ntr and grape) and I don‘t think I want to be here while that happens
Imma drop this for now and hope the arc has a huge payoff or the author somehow cooks and saves this but I doubt thats gonna happen since the fire has already and it can’t be put out

The main thing I take away from this is that this story is made for young teens. I know that sounds like a "duh" kind of statement and still does not excuse how bad the writing is but it does provide insight on why the story and characters are very surface level. Doesnt help that the is very young and this is the first offical work I could find.

One step forward and a thousand steps back. Washio's reputation in the gutter for no reason whatsoever and now he's just cornered to having no allies left? How the hell is the story even going to recover when it seemed so insistent that Washio must keep taking the L for plot reasons? As much as I don't jive with the kind of instant revenge comebacks trending these past 4 years, I hate status quo keepers even more.

Sticking around to see how this arc lands, this is the manga's make or break. Christ.
