He will still die after a year. So might as well let her suck. Plus if everyday life is boring and the night life gets less and less fun, he only needs to survives for 1 year.

Wait, he has a choice about being turned?

What about the whole "you'll die after a year if you don't convert" schtick?

Idk why she bored. Maybe she’s a boring person. Basically she’s saying the years between 17-27 (if she’s only been a vampire for 10 years) are a dull time for a girl, particularly at night lmao... sure

I don’t think it was that he’d die but rather that he would never be able to become a vampire. I could be misremembering though.

Huh? You've had 10 years of not needing to sleep, so... Why haven't you read every book possible, played any game possible, listened to every album, studied every art piece? FeMC is kinda stupid lmao, if I was a vampire I'd become the greatest scholar ever known.

@Kuroww What motivation is there to do that? I have a modest personal book collection, probably 80+ at this point, and I read maybe 12 of them. I got the time to read them all but I can't bring myself to - there's no will for me to do it. It's easier to just mindlessly watch videos or play games. When you have eternity you lose the pressure that you naturally have of "I have a finite amount of time left, let me do this before it's too late." The only other variable would be outside variables, like another person.

Nobody keeps compromising materials at home anymore nowadays. They're all in the clouds, somewhere.

I thought he had no choice but to either become a vampire or die?

I probably won't be able to explain it to you, but I'll try. I'm a complete bookworm. You know Myne from "Ascendance of a Bookworm"? Literally me, except I haven't died.... yet..... I read books because I like to read. Doesn't matter what (well, to some extent it does). The joy of reading is an end unto itself. You're not competing with anybody to get everything written or anything (It's not possible, anyway). You read because you love reading and love stories and love finding new information or just remembering old information you knew at one time and forgot, etc.

I was hoping for copious amounts of passionate liquid exchange right there. 😂

Hmmm... Nazuna’s probably lying about how a vampire turns...or there’s more than one way to turn.
She says it’s been 10 years since she became one, so she’s not born a vampire.
Wasn’t the original premise that one needs to fall in love with the vampire who feeds on one to turn? (Chapter 2)
So if was the only way to turn, that would mean Nazuna had a crush 10 years ago. You know what...maybe it’s Kou’s dad! :p

@Ichigo69 Sure, each individual person has their own motivations but the guy I was responding to assumed that just because you now have infinite amount of time that you'll use that to self-improve. That's just not true. Even if I personally become a multi-millionaire and didn't have to worry about working or anything else I still probably wouldn't be able to write as much as I'd like because despite my interest in it I have no will/motivation to push me to do it. Same for reading - I have a continuously growing book collection but even though I have about 8 hours of free time per day I really don't sit down and read my books despite buying them because they interest me. This is why t he FMC is saying that being a vampire is boring - sure there's plenty of things she can now do but if there's no interest/will/motivation to do it then she'll be perpetually bored. Ironically enough, the moments where I was a NEET due to being laid off back in '14 due to the oil crash and moving between cities have been the worst times of my life. Unlimited time with no goal is mindnumbing.

Haaaaa.... well, I guess I'll give him that he's just an extra awkward kid that has no interest in going to school, in people or aspirations. He's still flopping around not really really sure in what he really wants aside the reasons hes given... Well, let's ride this drama for now.
