@crudelidiaboli Hypocritical as it's erotic? It was popular quite a while ago in the U.S, not liking a fetish doesn't make you hypocritical though. I see how a death can be beautiful, in a more symbolic way, or rather what they felt before they died. But this is just rape, and murder. What's beautiful about this? It doesn't move me, since the protagonist wasn't well-enough developed to make me care for him in any way.

@ILikeCocaColaWithMyNameOnIt That is exactly why humans are hypocritical. If I were to tell you : a man violated a maiden, young and chaste. You would in all likelihood be ready to throw upon the man a never ending hell, even more so if you happen to be a female yourself. However, as for now the man himself was a one without any context. Let us add to the context as to how vile and rotten this maiden was, who destroyed the man in every horrendous way possible. This would affect your view significantly, and might outright flip it, for the good or the worse ( there are all sorts of individuals ). Now as you spoke of : 'the protagonist was not well developed for me to care for him in any way'. This is what hypocrisy is : Here you are trying to compare him to yourself, you are trying to fit the character into the human norms, robbing him of his freedom. Would it justify vengeance if his past was tragic? Would it justify it if you care for him? Conversely, Is it a sin to defile a maiden? Is it a sin to assault the innocent? What defines a sin? What defines innocence? Who justifies the innocence of the God that you speak of? What is good? What is evil? These questions are often very abstract and the answer varies amongst individuals. And that is what makes humans hypocritical. Our very existence is hypocrisy itself and so was me making the statement 'Condemning others is hypocritical' itself hypocritical. And it is not something that should one be ashamed of is what I think. Enough with the abstract talk, onto the next topic :

Reading such a manga, I doubt you are someone who does not enjoy or maybe get-off? to such content. However, the moment you spoke of "rape", just ruined your statement. I shall inform you, I have not seen any "rape" as far as the definition of the word is concerned. Well unless you call a man murdering a woman rape? Which makes me wonder if he also raped men? Although I wouldn't blame you. Gender is what many people take pride in. And so you would be happier if a woman were to "rape" a woman, rather than a man?

On that note, it is hilarious that such "modern revenge manga" mostly have villains of the opposite sex. If you have a male protagonist, the villain is most likely a female. If you have female protagonist, the villain has got to be a male. This just reinforces the notion of how everything can be related to gender. It is just amusing to see how lustful humans are and they want equality? As if!

@crudelidiaboli Strangely enough, I thought this was the other murder-revenge isekai, which had rape. I actually consider this the more preferable of the two, albeit the protagonist still to an extent has fairly unlikable principles, at least to me. Though, for a response I would say that I don't believe a woman raping a man is any better than a man raping a woman, or the same gender raping each other. The gender of a person doesn't change the impact rape can have on someone mentally.

Anyways, I don't like this genre very much but some of it can be interesting at times. I had simply replied thinking this was "Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi," which is very heavy in the murder-porn part. But yes, when reading a story I do prefer to like a character, with stories like this that try to make you like a protagonist who forced someone to eat children, it ends up being even worse. I prefer stories like this that make you hate the protagonist intentionally, somewhat like Rance.

@ILikeCocaColaWithMyNameOnIt Well, I would recommend you to read before commenting but to each their own. And although I say no rape yet, this does not imply it would not happen later. In fact, it is quite possible for it to take place. Not as in intercourse per se, but as gore, mutilation, torture and so on. Therefore, now is the time to quit if you couldn't bear to read it later, even more if you happen to be a female yourself. Nothing good comes out of self-harm, loathing or holding grudges against fictional characters unless you are a masochist. As for me I happen to enjoy watching people getting tortured.. as a fantasy of course, and that itself is my sole reason for reading this.

@crudelidiaboli Nah no worries, I know that people who have fetishes doesn't mean they'll go out, and start actually doing them. Even though a lot of them are weird, I doubt that people who are into things like "Vore," actually want to eat someone. Just a joke.

This shit is awful yet I keep reading anyway. Mainly because I'm curious if the author ever intends to actually have a person with morally grey circumstances and have our sadistic hero actually contend between his vengeance and mercy.

Probably won't happen though.

The creativity of his revenge plans is truly impressive. Even if we disregard everything else, it's worth it to read this manga just to learn what sick crimes the author will think of and what punishments will the "hero" dish out.

Good thing that the author is making this manga. Otherwise there would probably be another serial killer on the loose :p
