Well, by the midpoint of the second novel, after the princess he has only taken revenge on the mage and the saint. It was kinda tamer now since he only took away the mage's powers and let the demon slaves the mage helped capture and torture go nuts on him, and had the saint burned like a witch in what was actually a fair trial. But since she was so convinced that she was actually being righteous, even in the moment of her death, the hero simply let himself be killed by the daughter of the defeated demon king and escorted the saint to hell. Didn't do anything to her, he just wanted to be there to see her face when she saw all the people she supposedly "saved", suffering in hell and blaming her for having damned them.
Kinda implied the king is his final target. Other than that, he's edgy as fuck, but hasn't hurt anyone else himself.
