I literally just jumped in (at the last chapter) because I like to see how things are going in the middle before I start reading from the beginning, but I don't think I can continue this after that ridiculous blackmail. So Rufus claims to know the executioners identity as a mysterious never before encountered humanoid monster (which is wrong) purely based on the fact they can use a divine skill (which he himself is seeking and skills are known to be only used by humans) and the guild master and strongest adventurer in the area went with that... insert Skeletor WAT
For one there's no reason to believe anyone would believe such ridiculous testimony from someone's whose known to have a terrible personality, but honestly the dude made a clear threat, tried to blackmail, and raved like a lunatic in front of the freaking guild master. He should have been thrown in jail and had his license revoked for that alone.
