Sometimes they do. There was a 1 month break before vol 8 release.Fine chapter but I feel like this one reads differently than it did in the LN, with some of the changes--especially around the marriage discussion. Now we're getting into things at least. They don't do breaks after the ends of volumes for this series right? I forgot.
Claire is still very much stuck in the traditionalist mindset where marriage is primarily about politics. Rae is probably smart enough and enough of an otaku to have expected something like this to happen sooner or later (just not with the crown prince I'm sure), but yeah it's still gonna hurt.Telling the person who clearly loves you and has said as much many times... that they should marry someone else... OOF.
Agree, but that is more of a western cultural view. "Think of your parents" is not exactly a hot take for Japanese manga.Ugh, think of your parents is the one argument I feel sick of hearing in that situation. Instead perhaps the parents should think of their child
Aonoshimo, the mangaka~ The manga's fire af.omg on the novel this bit from Prince Roy was so cringe bit here felt so much better.... I need to know who is picking the novel and improving like this holy moly... is it the editor? Godammit all the time its improving on the source material
Especially for the period they are in and considering Claire's pride in the aristocratic way of thinking. The idea of love and marriage not necessarily being the same thing would be prevalent during the time this world is alluding to. Her thoughts here don't betray her feelings for Rae as much as they reinforce how stuck in her thinking she remains. More room to grow but that makes sense given where she started.Agree, but that is more of a western cultural view. "Think of your parents" is not exactly a hot take for Japanese manga.
Usually it's a combination of editor, mangaka, and original author working together and each providing input on how best to do the adaptation.omg on the novel this bit from Prince Roy was so cringe bit here felt so much better.... the arguments here are extended from the novel with Rae being a much worse person (which is acceptable) and Lily having some input. i get that Lily is the favorite character, but we know that Clarice is the Pope and Lily's entire Arc doesnt make sense in any universe with Clarice. Clarice already knows the only way she can ever get Claire is by running a body double operation after Rae completes the story and theres a perfectly abuseable lesbian nun as her direct report.Fine chapter but I feel like this one reads differently than it did in the LN, with some of the changes--especially around the marriage discussion.
