i feel like MC's production abilities outstrip most other related peoples' in the world. People in the past weren't dumb, they were lacking material and toolery to make modern shit in modern quality at modern speed, as well as many general principles in natural sciences and basic/meta research to formalize their findings. the example i overuse is the construction of dujiangyan, where people had to dig hard rock (for a very advanced piece of waterworks whose design itself is kinda insane, esp for the time) without steel tools (bronze age, 100ish BC) and without using too many bronze tools, so they used fire and river water to crack the rock (heat the rock so it expands, then pour cold river water to make it contract super fast and unevenly, and thus make the surface break apart)She's so chill. Pun sort of intended.
Yeah, that's one of the most common problems with fantasy manga in general. Either the author just doesn't know, or they make everyone dumber and less advanced to make the MC stand out. This manga is fairly good at it, though, in that the MC isn't the only competent one.i feel like MC's production abilities outstrip most other related peoples' in the world. well, the others aren't buffoons, to be sure, but the MC still sticks out like a sore thumb for me.Yeah, that's one of the most common problems with fantasy manga in general. Yeah, he's still got his cheats. But they're at limited to his areas, so he's not omnicompetent.well, the others aren't buffoons, to be sure, but the MC still sticks out like a sore thumb for me.
I guess i'm spoiled from world trigger and tsukimichi
For World Trigger, wouldn't it be that Osamu (who is the actual MC fyi) sticks out BECAUSE he is weak?well, the others aren't buffoons, to be sure, but the MC still sticks out like a sore thumb for me.

He "sticks out" because he's comparatively weak... in trion and dexterity. Have you read the latest chapters? Hyuse explains what I feel very succinctly. In terms of team ability and "working with resources," Osamu is nowhere near the bottom of the WT cast. Stopped being near the bottom before round 2, became actually pretty good after round 4-5. Given that these are frankly key in WT, that means Osamu more or less levels out.For World Trigger, wouldn't it be that Osamu (who is the actual MC fyi) sticks out BECAUSE he is weak?
