Yes, this will 100% end as Yuri, but not yuri harem. Aria ends up with Carla (renamed White after the events) in a sort of strange relation where Carla is like "Well, you saved my life, you broke me, you buy me". They also basically own a cat together (a cat that can take on a dragon mind you), and just go about their lives living as they always have, adventuring, murdering enemies, saving people, spending time with their cat (fighting impossibly strong things). You know, normal yuri couple things.

Emotionally mature cute girl stoically taking responsibility for her own life, who is simultaneously clueless with regard to sexuality, makes her the unicorn character that pedos which existed irl. This, coupled with sufficiently frequent glamour shots the beauty of a minor, and having her inadvertently flash a character every five chapters. Literal gooner bait, the artist knows what he’s doing.

Made In Abyss is definitely worse for all of these though. I guess stories with dark and morally gray themes attract deviants.

This is the girl who just asked for a special weapon two minutes ago.

A weapon gets jagged up if you use it. If you need skill for that not to happen, it's basically being good enough that you don't need to use it.

As much of a stone cold killer she is, she appreciates the headpats.

This story at least has realistic times for crafting weapons. It's more often you read someone made thirty of them last afternoon, all high quality. Of course, it varied a lot, since simple or mid-quality weapons can be made relatively quickly, and a sword for a king could take a year, but a month is probably reasonable for the task here.
