Not sure if it’s a translation thing or they ChangEd it but that felt off so I double checked the LN

The two had lived for a while with their stepmother and their newly born younger brother, but life was tough. The stepmother, wanting to leave the farm to her own child, conspired with her family and drove the two siblings out of the house, abandoning them in this town.

so yeah, still a bad mom but one who was actually trying to provide for her own biological son which is more understandable than just abandoning all 3. Still shitty though

Last page, if it wasn't deleted, was the scanlator "showing off his minecraft base" and challenging people to guess the modpack. Looked like a skyblock pack of some sort.

I just love that she killed him for it. Like you said you'd stay away then came back, that can only mean trouble so let's just nip this in the bud now and deal with it later if I feel like.
