Ngl as explosive as this is supposed to be, it's hard to really take any satisfaction in it. Admittedly everyone's characters are kind of thin as it stands but Rio is an especially nothing character and her behaviour is so cartoonishly spiteful and villainous that I don't really feel anything about this reveal.

But aside from that nitpick: If it's any consolation, you're not the only person to confuse criticism of the MC with criticism of the story. Not everyone is doing both.

Unless Mahoro sits on a chair backwards, faces the camera and says, "that's it folks, that was the story about how I was cheated on, but then got my shit straight".

Rio has been shown to be very insecure w.r.t to Mahoro, so it could be that Itsuki makes her feel small just by being successful and seeming to have it together, rather than that he's actively demeaning her.

I think his calmness is just a function of how he processes - pressure cooker who explodes vs Mahoro's more frequent impulsive outbursts.

The covered speech bubble is pretty clearly "Aaaahn, wait a second," so nothing to indicate this is only their second fuck. Much more likely to be a more recent video than that.
