Keep in mind that the
full story hasn't even come out yet about throwing Leslie into the fire or his
true motives. If those motives were demonstrable, then it would cause a public spectacle far worse/grand than this. Here he just was displayed as a cruel man along with his father. In truth, he's a product of a grotesque family of monsters who offer living sacrifices of their younger children to empower the elder. Life for Darkness.
In this way, the story has only begun.
Who knew about this ancient plot? Who in the royal family? Will the Marquess leave this as well enough done or will he try something more dire now that he fears Duchess Salvitore will discover his family's secret legacy? 🤔 Will he go even further to try to gain Leslie's power? Will he try to kidnap her or worse?
It's unclear what may come next. Will Leslie end up becoming the Prince's fiancé now that her older sister is on the way out (the prince doesn't seem to think much of Leslie's sister anyhow)? Leslie is, after all, about to become the most eligible bride in
all of the kingdom/empire, after all. It would make sense that she's going to be quite popular. (Losing her fiancé boyfriend will likely drive the Marquess absolutely mad and push him into doing
radical (for him) action and we're still unsure as to just how far he will go. Will he attempt to kidnap Leslie? How will he proceed?
Also, I awaited the squeels of the fangasm at the conclusion of this chapter! 😅😂👌🏽❤️
