While this resolution was really good for the characters, it didn't feel as satisfying for me personally. Considering how most of the chapters between her escape from the Sperado State and the trial were filled with Leslie adjusting to a normal lifestyle, I feel like the story lost a bit of that emotional charge it had on the beginning; because of that, I wanted the characters to succeed, but it never felt like they were going to fail.

Does this make any sense? I feel like I'm just rambling at this point.

Anyway, maybe I'm jumping the gun and something terrible happens in the next chapters, but I'm glad Leslie is officially a Salvatore now and I'm looking forward to seeing where the story takes her.

I understand you though personally I like this result more since I half expect him to win and she get bound in that chain in the basement like he was setting up to do and we were gonna have to sit thru that with the Salvatore family breaking in and catching them. I like the happy ending more than the more then obvious drama ending

@onipuck There were like 100 signs pointing towards that In chapters 36 and 37 lol, it wasn't a secret.

The trial ended... slightly abruptly? I mean everything was going towards that direction but I was hoping for something more tense like the Salvadores had no chance without Leslie's statements or just a complete beatdown on the Sperados. I really wanted his heinous crimes to be revealed in the public spotlight, all of the abuse that Leslie had to endure.

snap every bone in his body you beautiful amazonion goddess

also i do genuinely hope the sister gets a redemption arc because like, she's literally a 15 year old girl who's gotten so screwed in the head by a thousand year old sacrificial tradition

The bigger hurdle is the Duchess. I do however agree that this wasn't satisfying. :c

Keep in mind that the full story hasn't even come out yet about throwing Leslie into the fire or his true motives. If those motives were demonstrable, then it would cause a public spectacle far worse/grand than this. Here he just was displayed as a cruel man along with his father. In truth, he's a product of a grotesque family of monsters who offer living sacrifices of their younger children to empower the elder. Life for Darkness.

In this way, the story has only begun.

Who knew about this ancient plot? Who in the royal family? Will the Marquess leave this as well enough done or will he try something more dire now that he fears Duchess Salvitore will discover his family's secret legacy? 🤔 Will he go even further to try to gain Leslie's power? Will he try to kidnap her or worse?

It's unclear what may come next. Will Leslie end up becoming the Prince's fiancé now that her older sister is on the way out (the prince doesn't seem to think much of Leslie's sister anyhow)? Leslie is, after all, about to become the most eligible bride in all of the kingdom/empire, after all. It would make sense that she's going to be quite popular. (Losing her fiancé boyfriend will likely drive the Marquess absolutely mad and push him into doing radical (for him) action and we're still unsure as to just how far he will go. Will he attempt to kidnap Leslie? How will he proceed?

Also, I awaited the squeels of the fangasm at the conclusion of this chapter! 😅😂👌🏽❤️

@MagiciansBlack Naah, I agree with you, I think with how the story goes something terrible should happen in the near future to regain the drama element of the story. As right now it shifted from cry porn to fluffy, cute story. Don't get me wrong I like the story and I like that Leslie finally have stable, loving family. Just the story lose the momentum that it had in the first chapters.

Also am I the only one that think that the court stuff was pretty dumb?
The Father really had no chance winning, had no proofs just pretty stupid sobs stories. He was maybe not the brightest person ever but he really had no strategy. Everything would be solved just by Laslie statement that oh my loving father tried to burn me twice.

The same applies to the bringing her home if it takes to long to finished in one day. What was the goal ok, he can't abuse or kill her as it would showed up on the next day of the trial. Also the idea is nonsense, as even she had to wait in the separate room during the break, why than give her to one side of the trial?

Nice. Snap his wrist. Better yet, break his arm again.
Thanks for the quick updates! I was looking forward to seeing the story progress!

Agreed! One who is now (along with her axe-weilding He-Man Husbando) gonna get called "Mother" ("Father")! #CutenessOverload

@Spookie

We haven't seen what crap Spedero will pull next. He may go full supervillain and try to kidnap Leslie after the King/Emperor decides that Leslie's sister is no longer "suitable" as his son's (crown prince) fiancé. That will crush her (heel-faced-turn?) and drive the Marquess into dangerous territory. Also, now that Leslie is safe, she may start to reveal her powers. If she does & the Marquess finds out, how will he respond? Likewise, Leslie has not yet gotten "justice" for her siblings as the Marquess hasn't truly suffered nor has his ancestors for the crimes they have committed for a millennium. That crap has yet to come to light.
