I guess the only hint that it was the idol was that Spica took a picture with her. And that Spica probably started working on the restaurant after that because she wanted the detective on her side maybe.
Idol can still be the neighbor though.

Every single one of you from the previous comment section must apologize to baker Tani-san for suspecting him to be the murderer.
A burning idol ... or an idol thrown into the fire ... last time I've read that is in the Old Testament.

alrite, please tell me how reader can conduct their insvestigation and have conclusion based on evidence presented in the manga
is this this your 1st mystery manga, brother?
I'm not saying that there were legitimate clues or whatever. I'm saying it's not an issue and the concept of asspulls is retarded. For fuck's sake, anything unexpected can be considered an asspull, even something like a deus ex machina.
Also, what gave you the idea that this is some crime mystery manga? The first arc wasn't some crime mystery, so why would this one be?

"spica killed suspect of unsolved crime years ago? how did she know?"why did she do it? that's mystery and crime
"turned out the teacher was the killer of the old case and he also kidnapped another student" thats a crime and mystery solved

This isn't really there for detective work, but more so the supernatural powers uncovering stuff that would be impossible normally. The narrative can do whatever it wants with that in mind, even if it feels a little lazy.

Wait, is it the same idol that she was into? Kind of an insane asspull if she happened to be into an idol and she just turned out to be a murderer from a case that just dropped on her lap.
