I really love this series. I didn't expect him to be able to register Puppy as a familiar, it's cool because he doesn't have to hide him anymore, but it also feels dangerous. What if that Dani Trejo mafia guy tries to take him away or something?

It's not clear what's going on with the "the church." Isn't this our first sign there's a stock isekai fake catholics with holy magic in this setting? I'm sure they'd like to claim him, if they're not suspicious of him. Maybe they'll scan him and reveal he's not a human, or they could have ties to the nobles who are hunting him. They could really just want his donations, though. Having a good relationship with adventurers could be lucrative.

Seinen syndrome where characters don't do a lot of exaggerated facial expressions other than a serious one while talking, so the characters come off as stiff compared to the usual baseline in manga

Frieren has a similar but lesser issue

I would also add that the light and shadow game is pretty weak, minus the very lightly use of shadows in sharp angle places like noses, necks, roofs and under clothes, the shadow use of the artist is pretty scarce.
A little bit of ambient occlusion and more bold Illumination would really help the art.
