True enough that will-they-won't-they romance drama can't carry that plot. At least not in anything that isn't depressingly toxic. Authors can pivot though.A lot of these manga also tend to just end after high school because the entire vibe changes after graduation, so they don't want to write new stuff with the couple.
Then again you also have funny series where the couple starts the series together but showing anything is so slow for like multiple volumes it's as if they're not together at all. Or the series where that follows the couple through a full ass decade but at the end they're still not actually a full couple, still roommates who are close but didn't breach the final wall or something.
Idk, a lot of commenters for that one seem to think it's just lost the plot and hate that they can't talk to each other for real and also don't know what to make of the new characters. After graduation is practically a relaunch though, even in Green Yuri. (a solid one, fwiw)

A Room For Two really did a number on some people lmaoOr the series where that follows the couple through a full ass decade but at the end they're still not actually a full couple, still roommates who are close but didn't breach the final wall or something.
I still remember that. I was in Girls in Boxes when all that shit was happening. We were the scanlators for it then, and we kept telling people that we'd read ahead and it got really gay and nobody believed us.A Room For Two really did a number on some people lmao
Thanks for your work!So, uuuh...
This new comment system is throwing me off...
Anyway, I finally decided to do the half chapter. I also shuffled the fonts a bit.
Other than that, the "hint-dropping" thing in Japanese is slang for people who "hint" at things, like showing romantic interest, trying to grab attention to something or themselves, but without actually saying it directly and expecting the other party to pick up on it. Especially on social media.
Until next time.
That's an interesting way of putting things into perspective 😂😂No way Saki is going to confess first, it has to be Kanon going balls deep into Saki's closet to drag her out.
Now Kanon just has to realize she's not the only one that has been hinting.
Yeah, I feel like 75-100 of Ani no Yome were wheel spinning to the extreme, but she reined it in and 100-end was good again. Wild that Heidi turned out to be the one character to keep it from jumping the shark completely. We have some evidence that Kuzoshiro has threads to follow for that, authors often do. Ani no Yome was a case where after halfway through when it dropped all the queer stuff the college prep stuff also got streamlined. Versus many chill het romances build up sidecouples mostly after the main couple together and continue to graduation. After graduation is practically a relaunch though, even in Green Yuri. (a solid one, fwiw)
It's good to see different opinions. Green Yuri is a mess, for real. I just find it more interesting as a mess than how it ended the prior arc.Yeah, I feel like 75-100 of Ani no Yome were wheel spinning to the extreme, but she reined it in and 100-end was good again. But also, man... Green Yuri's post-grad arc is just not it, imo. It's jumping all over and just drama-bombing without any lead up. On the off-chance this one continues post-grad (I doubt it will), I think it'll either go the Kase-san route of the same tone/romance, but gradual maturing or the HDWR route of "we'll split, but then end back up together in the end".
I understand that people wanted something more "traditional", but the manga had two other couples that fit that mold. Couples that did get plenty of page time.I still remember that. I was in Girls in Boxes when all that shit was happening. We were the scanlators for it then, and we kept telling people that we'd read ahead and it got really gay and nobody believed us.
tl;dr You should listen to the scanlator when it comes to stuff like this...
People evidently don't want slow burn slice-of-life romance... IDGI...I understand that people wanted something more "traditional", but the manga had two other couples that fit that mold. Couples that did get plenty of page time.
It still baffles me when people read it and their takeaway is that Kasumi is just using Sakurako or shit like that![]()
