The author definitely is stretching it a bit by setting this type of character as a female lead.
The other female leads/male leads in the previous arcs were believable, because often they still had purposes in any awful actions they took, even if those actions are often self-serving. Depending on how the story is framed, and who is considered to be “people who has enough good will to be in the mc’s circle”, some actions would be justified. First arc, in the first timeline, female lead was bullied by the ML and MC’ previous host. Vampire arc, Luxia is the classic bad villain, so from a standpoint it’s understandable. Superstar arc has a guy as a protagonist and those type of asshole male protagonist is much more frequent (ex: any chinese cultivation stories). Last arc, Luxia was also protagonist.
But this one? The female lead is total trash, she is the first one to cause harm for the sake of causing harm. With how far it went, it’s hard to believe that she’d make a redeemable protagonist because she has just gone so far. Like the other peeps are saying, that would be a book with very little readers.
