This happens all the time in real life. Like women fought against suffrage etc. They seem to think they will maintain a position between the controlling group and the discriminated group and just lean into that. Why agree to help a suprematist regime?
You know that when they are done fighting the elves, they would turn and kill you too.
Well the reason they were against suffrage at the time was that they were going to get he same deal as men. As in the government reserves the right to draft you into war for the privilege to vote. It also didn't help that the suffragettes weren't the most palatable of people. This happens all the time in real life. Honestly I haven't considered him a slave ever since he demonstrated to everyone that he can take the collar off on his own anytime he wants. He wears it for sentiment, not unlike a necklace.NGL I never liked enslavement arcs... but seeing as the MC has been a slave most of the story so far that kind of rings hollow atm. Guess it just didn't feel as bad because he became a slave willingly and the status wasn't really used against him.
A lot of that sounds like it should be behind spoilers. Speculation is fine, but once you add fore knowledge that hasn't been translated, just put it under one of the two spoiler options available.
This was a weird arc in the novel as MC escaped right after waking up as the human kingdom ignored the traitorus fox notice on keeping guards on MC and making so he couldn't move as he had to make some moves to activate his ability.
He literally just starts digging down on the spot, I vaguely remember some stupid reason that made so that he didn't just leave on the spot but kept staying down there for some time.
But this whole thing was stupid, he literally emptied his inventory without a single suspect, no one but the traitor was around, the traitor betrayed his faction and race and his words were ignored by the humans because for them all demi humans are lesser than animals.
im thinking he’s some kinda triple agent hereWhy agree to help a suprematist regime?

Sure he had to give up his materials but now hes in a cell with seemingly nobody watching him (at least theyre not right in front of his cells) and his power is basically god magic so it probably can’t be blocked. Plus that hall and chain can be easily turned into A pickaxe. Can't he literally just dig his way out? Also, I'm pretty sure he can just put that ball and chain in his inventory.
He’s got a wooden bucket and a chain on his leg.time to speedrun min craft leave the fortress. easy. mine the walls... ah but you don't have wood and stones to craft a pickaxe..... welp,....
So, how long is he going to be separated from them for?
