Is it just me that thinks the way manga protagonists like to kill and eat orcs is extremely creepy?
They are explicitly shown to use language and tools, so isn't it pretty much cannibalism?

Cannibalism is defined as humans eating humans or animals eating their own kind. I'm not aware of a word that refers to sentients eating sentients of a different species. The concept does raise some questions that are interesting if unpleasant to think about. If you find orc porc disturbing, is it more because orcs are (kind of) intelligent or more because they resemble humans? Are you equally disturbed by dragon steak? How about in settings where dragons are depicted as purely malevolent?

I'm not aware of a word that refers to sentients eating sentients of a different species.

But somehow, a lot of people seem to think that a mermaid eating fish, any fish, is cannibalism. It's as much cannibalism as humans eating pork. Regular pork, not porc.

But yeah, eating other sentient beings is usually something people take offense to. Dragons are usually not eaten as much if they're sentient. Probably on the same level as porc.

Since the orcs live in a cave, it seems to me they could just block the exits and fill the place with smoke. Miyabi already made a house underneath the orc cave. Just build a big fire there, with chimneys connected to the orc cave. After taking care of any guards outside, the job would be finished.

Though I suppose that wouldn't give Liz any combat magic practice.
