The first chapter made me believe that maybe a romance would be out of question, but this chapter throwed such notion out of the window.

Yeah, she's way too flirty and tbh a pretty easy woman, but no way in hell the story will end without any romance going on between those two. Both are a perfect match for each other and they are way too confortable with each others antics.

I would love to be wrong, but at the same time a romance would be great too.

They're basically Aki and Iroha in the earliest chapters of ImoUza, and I think we know where that went.

My reasons for keeping hopes for a platonic relationship
p 3-4: Its obivious, right.
p 9: He isn't used to being this close to anyone, so he's suprised to be put in a situation without personal space.
p 11: He's just suprised and he got jumpscared. No blushy face
p 18: He was a little put off by how spontaniously she brought it up.
p 19-20: Ok this is just embarassment from being called by his first name. It is just a Japanese cultural thing. The blush is not from attraction. (pls let me have this one)
p 24: 😐 OK, hear me out. Being called special is something that isn't only a romantic thing. It can be with friends too. He just got asked to be her best friend, so he just got a little blushed.
p 26: In my opinion, the author is foreshadowing him being asexual
