As soon as he bites back even a little she goes into woe-is-me mode and he's forced to reinforce her self-esteem before she kills herself. For a person who is all about conserving energy when possible, spending time with her seems like the last thing he'd do.

He should get out of this relationship ASAP, and not let her next woe-is-me outburst push him back in, otherwise we might be looking at a psychological thriller disguised as a romcom SoL. Which... I wouldn't be against, to be honest.

thats what i'm saying. Lol this sort of dynamic is super toxic for both of them and will only get worse as they get closer. I haven't read work by this mangaka before so I don't know if they'll actually explore that, and keep their relationship either strictly platonic or atleast one-sided? Or cheap out and make this into a run-of-the-mill genki girl x quiet guy forced romance mangas 🥱
