When I was reading mid-chapter and saw the party traveling & exploring, I was wondering, will we see Frieren in a mimic scene somewhere….

Frieren is at a point where the present has not yet occured.

She already has magic that detects mimics. It's just that it's only 99.99%(-ish) accurate, so there's a chance that it's just a chest with some magic goodies inside. ^.^
