Looking back at the previous chapter, he spends 5 years with Kaushman, so an extra 2 years, which would give the possibility of her being 16 or so at this point

I love how this manga gives us all this little things, like he taking the gekko out of the street in one of the first chapters, or he keeping the light on for the child in this one. Even though every chapter is packed with so much stuff going on, there's always some detail here and there that brings the wholesomeness of this series a step further. I'm still to get to be up to date with the releases, but once I get there, this is probably one of the few mangas I'll rate as a 10 (and it'll probably raise the bar for others.
