Does Hugo have a twin brother in the Greens or something? Both fat guys with mohawks. See the last page of chapter 59 (https://mangadex.org/chapter/723ead0c-3c0b-46d2-b39e-b770e9e9adf6) and the subsequent chapter 60 where you see him take Yajin to see the Green underworld guild big shot Emden. And yet Hugo is a Red big shot in this chapter...
yeah, I also immediately thought they look really alike, so I wonder if it'll be a plot point, or artist accidentally reused his old character design.
So Hugo is a fat guy but we do not know how strong he really is.. and how high stamina he got. some fat people got surprisingly alot of stamina. but him? i am not... sure. he looks like he is used to command people and being lazy. hmm.
it's been explained since chapter 8: https://mangadex.org/chapter/ea1e0b1c-07e5-4cf0-8118-61fee1c5ab37 big guys have high base values. so yes, his size means he has very high stamina even if he's fat, and ridculous strength.

plus, just the whole setup for the way his faction operates implies Hugo is a monster like Yajin has never seen before.

In a world where everyone uses factions to lie and manuever for influence, Hugo says fuck that and uses raw power. You can't do that unless you're really powerful. The blacksmith guy who can best Yajin in a duel isn't fucking with Hugo if that says anything.

At least, this confirmed that the "girl" wasn't "innocent little girl" at all, that being said, it gonna be a very hard thing to try to explain this aftermath, because for most people that's "innocent little girl". Tho getting Hugo's head, and other stuffs might help him
Anyone who thought the "little girl" standing behind someone with a knife immediately after a different assassination attempt was innocent needs to think harder next time.

Yajin is misunderstanding, they were sticking up for him but saying it like "you are no further use to me" sounds bad lol. I'm certain the Baron means to get Yajin out of harms way, not go fucking ham to get Hugo. I'm sure it'll be a shock to Yajin later though.

I do wonder how the Red v Green stuff works. Hugo might be a necessary evil they dont really want to kill, and Yajin is about to make a mess of it.

So what are the chances Yajin lays down roots in this place? He's part of so many factions/organizations, it would seem those developments go to waste if he flees again. Or he's gonna do something epic and troll/upend the existing power structure/balance on his way out. I'm guessing it'll be the latter.

But ch 62, he makes the decision to attend church regularly to educate himself, so unless this is a red herring, I think this arc will last quite a while (it already is pretty long tbh) unlike the Great Bath arc (6 chapters) where he did some self-study at the library (Saul Goodman'ed his way out of an arrest) and tried to hold down a regular butchering job.

Based on 'Green' Hugo's dialogue at the end of ch59, I think it's a mistake by the mangaka, and he just reused a character design in error. But who knows?

I also have the next chapter on the work table, and I can say that Hugo is huge-o...

Does the Manga follow the wn?

I haven't read all the wn, but there are big differences in the story since coming to Toulon. The workshop siblings are the same, as is their backstory, but in the wn Yajin immediately bends the knee to Emden and becomes his main torturer and one of the Green enforcers. I think the Manga deviated because what Yajin does as a torturer is just so obviously reprehensible and unjustifiable.

Last panel of hugo face reveal is a bit strange. His face is reading contemplative or sad instead of evil grin I was expecting.

Y'all catch the that where Yajin ignored the fact that one of the murdered dude's little sister is about to be raped, and rather chose to just go for Hugo? Logical and calculated, but still ruthless and callous nonetheless. Subtle way of showing how callous he is now. We've already known that he's become like this, but the more and more he tires to stake it out in this world, the more he's becoming a ruthless monster himself.

Is Yajin going to have to leave town again once he's done with his little war?

You must have missed the following panel where that guy was dead and Yajin was walking away

he was presented as someone that got high thanks to his power, and Yajin at least felt fear at Emden, one of the leader of the Greens, so for it would not be an easy fight, but he's going murder hobo on them, so at least he will not go frontal assault to kill him (I hope)

I'm very happy with this route it's finally time to keep what you build and to show those that if you take something you better be ready accept those consequences.
