Very relatable. when she poses the idea that parents don't want to infringe on their children's right to choose, but children can feel like they need some sort of direction in their life.
@vessalius It's also shows again that just because you mean something one way doesn't mean someone else won't take it another way.... even if they know you don't mean it that way...
To her parents, it's probably just a sign of both trust and the fact that they feel guilty for not giving her enough time. So for them, giving her freedom is probably the best and only willing to help when asked.
@deathmailrock Honestly it just goes to show how parenting is fucking hard. Too much attention, not enough attention, too much free choice, too much "for your own good", too soft, too hard, any kid who comes out a fully functioning adult that's able to be so 24/7 is honestly luckier than any lottery winner
