@sleepyfoxscanlations Humans are more complex than we realize at times... the question isn't if you want them to be like your parents or not, but what parts you'd want or not.
Just like culture, there could be some things you only recognize about your parents that you would only notice if they were pointed out.
We humans have a habit of not knowing everything we know.
I'm a second generation Asian, but only after I got Asians friends from different cultures did I realize many things about my parents that were always in front of me that I never noticed. And I KNEW about it all once I noticed.
It's a case of knowing without knowing.
Humans chase familiarity. It's just that, because they are your parents and because you always have them, you won't notice the points that would attract you if put on another person.
