not gona lie, I have liked Iruma since I found it and really enjoyed... a lot. But I never thought to say the series could feel like the mainstream series in Jump (I know iruma is in another magazine, but the more iconic shonen are in jump, like the big 3), and gooooddamn this arc started slow but is turning into such goatie one.
Srsly Iruma was pulling an attack closer to what Robin pulled to reach Sullivan, boy is reaching bloodline levels of archery.
Almost forgot, Iruma just reached a chet [8], the same rank as Kalego, even if he just break a little of the barrier, Iruma is getting super strong and wasn't even in his evil phase.

so he's no longer hiding his identity anymore. good for him. but where the fuck were you 5 minutes ago when these bastards started stomping through and burning shit down! i know your tall lanky ass was in the village so what the fuck were you doing this whole time!

he's a demon, so far we don't know how much he actually cares about the many ears, he's testing Iruma, he let the trashing and burning go to look for Iruma's reaction, at least Iruma choose the right answer for the kingmaker.
ps. well Mephisto at least is helping with the fertilizer, 'cause those demon patrol officer just shat their pants at the end.

I'm torn between appreciating Mephisto for acknowledging Iruma's king potential and lending the strength Iruma currently lacks, and being bitter that he stole Iruma's thunder 😂

When Iruma said "...through", I thought he envisioned an arrow that would fly Through the barrier's magical structure, instead of Colliding with its physical form. His intense expression and the flashback felt like they were building up to total destruction of the barrier (with Azz's support), yet somehow the small hole he made still managed to be impressive instead of anticlimactic. It's not about physical strength training or a mana boost from Ali-san, but about Iruma's willpower, and I'm impressed that the author managed to turn an old cliché into such an epic moment with the tension in their stunning art and sustained narrative callbacks.

Given how impressed I was, and the independent nature of the scala exam, I thought Iruma might eventually be the one to solve this issue, thus Mephisto's appearance (thankfully) burst my bubble, despite being a crucial source of assistance. I LOVE the parallel between the splintering cracks of Iruma's determined yet inadequate Perfect Shot, and the effortlessly perfect, clean circle from Mephisto's infiltration.

(Now, let Nova loose on Azami. He's worked hard and deserves to do a crime! ❤️)
