Quick Alt-Earth history lesson:

Romanovs successfully flees the Bolshevik Revolution to Japan (Runa's ancestry).

WW2 mostly the same, EXCEPT JAPAN SURRENDERS PRIOR TO US DROPPING NUKES (very important plot point for much later).

Manchurian War instead of Vietnam War (except that gets retconned back to Vietnam later in LNs)

Russia has major influence over Japan, akin to Berlin in the early 90s. Cold war ends, with last USSR sentiments remaining in Northern Japan. Eventually a North Japan "traitor" gives away military secrets to the South, and the South unifies Japan.

Modern Day Japan.

dank, so her father is sacrificed to unified Both North and South Japan become one again.

and i wonder aswell how the original Runa got her wealth.
is this related to her fiancee, someone backing her up as a pawn for Something as sacrificial just like her father, or she's actually a genius but getting used by the bast4rd adults like how wealthy family used to be when they want to take over other family member possession?

So they change The North Korea into North Japan huh, at first I think like WTF is Karafuto. Oh it's Actually Sakhalin.
well it's kind of Understandable, since Kuomintang Run into Manchuria instead of Taiwan, so commie don't have a chance to develop in Korea.

So, did KGB can have some Japanese as accomplice because America don't really have full control of Japanese in cold War because the surrender early in WWII?

The only alternate is probably Runa Mother herself, Since her "sister" Grand Duchess Xenia can also escaped from Crimea with the help of Queen Alexandra while Grand Duchess Olga Run to Denmark and Migrate to Canada in the later year.

I doubt that Japan could be split up in a hypothetical version of the cold war, outside of having been invaded by Russia; Japan was intensely Anti-Communist (I believe one of their core reason's for WWII was ensuring communism didn't spread?).
It's an interesting to do alt history all the same though.

Even in OTL we still have a few Romanovs running around. Runa's ancestry traced back to Alexander III who is Nicholas II's (the last Tsar of Russia) father who had quite a few living relatives and children.

This war is more akin to China's civil war between the KMT and CPC roll into the Korean war in OTL cause of the better deal Runa's Japan had. It's not a Vietnam equivalent. Runa's OTL still had a 'Nam of their own

No, Korea is still split in Runa's verse. The Soviet just created another socialist state in Japan in Runa's timeline to probably balance out the Far East? not sure why Runa's Stalin would did that.

More like he got the blames from the Japanese cause of the USA's actions to stop Japan's grow. The collapse of the USSR and Japan's unification is just an outside factor. In OTL the USA slapped a bunch of sanctions and tariff on Japan to stop its growth in the 80s citing another incident that's the basis for Runa's verse. However, even before that, Japanophobia and fear of another superpower overtaking the USA had already happened and the USA had already started a trade war with its ally.

Missing speechbubble in page 14?

Some odd typos here and there. Doesn't seem like it got the proofreading pass.

This alt Japan is crazy different. A soviet north japan that japan tried to give up, but the USSR insisted was still Japan's? The freaking nukes didn't happen, which means Japan still has those major ports down south and the US never used their nukes? Wait....

....does this mean godzilla doesn't exist!?

It's not actually surprising that Japan is like OTL in Runa's timeline. It's not exactly a Korea-like situation. North Japan was only Sakhalin, not a 50% split.

So in OTL, after the VE-Day (8 May, 1945) USSR voided it's non-aggression treaty with Japan (8 August), invaded South Sakhalin (Karafuto) and the Kurils (Chishima). Today only the sovereignty over the four southernmost islands is disputed (although de facto they are a possession of Russia).

Seeing how in Runa-verse the Kurils are still Japanese, the most likely explanation is that the Soviets moved to secure Sakhalin in light of a Japanese surrender (Sakhalin was split in half after the 1904-1905 Russo-Japanese War, which made a land invasion possible). But unlike OTL, they couldn't take the Kurils (in OTL Soviet Invasion was made possible thanks to American naval vessels). I'm guessing that a conditional surrender meant, that USSR could not annex the territories as part of a peace treaty, so they set up a puppet government to justify the occupation.
