god I wish, the preview they showed ages ago looked like shit. You can have amazing source material, but that doesn't guarantee a good anime adaptation, just look at how they butcher most VN adaptations.

Distrusting of Alpha? No, not even almost.
More aware? Absolutely!
Like in the WN, Akira doesn't catch or even consider everything Alpha does to guide him, but he understands in totality that all of this is training and support is preparing him for Alpha's ultimate task, and accepts that as fact.
LN/Manga Akira though has a lot more agency and particularly stronger relationships with those around him (most of the girls here, except Sheryl... yet).

I think its a lot better handled here, WN Akira had.. not great character growth lol he was rlly bland, I like this version of Akira a lot more. He's less murderhappy too which I appreciate, even if that will probably bite him in the ass later on...

I'm confused. Chapter 60 ends with the giant snake actively chasing them, and then chapter 61 starts with the merchant guy thanking the mc for saving him. That's a really weird scene for them to just completely skip, not showing how they managed to escape from that giant snake.
