I feel that this arc's "original story" is the most unclear so far.

The movie actor arc also is a universe with an asshole "main character", but it explained that the original story is about the dude in a quest to be the number one superstar. This one feels incoherrent because I have no idea what kind of plot is supposed to play out with the universe's "original FL"

@d_a_renoir It's rich kids who are rotten to the core getting their way. It's a form of escapism for kids who are poor or bullied to read and imagine themselves in the shoes of people who live better lives than them. That's why the main characters are so awful; it's so they can live out their own messed up fantasies wherein they substitute themselves and their bullies with the characters.
Picture a girl who is "plain" looking self-inserting themselves as Pu, and Su Luxia as their bully or the supposed "real Pu" that was mentioned a few chapters ago as the "favorite" sibling in the family.

From what I've seen so far it is like one of those Chinese drama series involving the Main Female lead to turn out to be a false child of a rich family and the female lead is scared that the true daughter will show up and take her spot as the main lead. So in order to stay the female lead, she'll try to mess with the original daughter and try to get her out of her life and stay away from her actual parents. But the thing is that in the usual drama it is the so-called secondary female lead which is actually the female lead but here they for some reason made this villainess into the main character.

I've never seen that sort of self-indulgent story, so its kinda hard to wrap my head around LOL. Its hard for me to understand who would want to read about someone so horrible, but I saw in a spoiler comment that lüxia will actually comment on the plot itself, so maybe it will be more clear then.
