She really dropped the ball on that negotiation. They can hire double staff and then immediately lay off or transfer them, to fulfil the letter of the deal (and where is the signed written copies?!). And no guarantees to their quality, where iirc the reason she was only one doing overtime was because she was only person who cared about the quality of the work to the same standards?
And even with more staff she can end up swamped with work, both in terms of having to train them, as well as still having enough work to exceed it. Would have been better to receive a guarantee on her being exempt from needing to do any overtime (which technically she already is, but having it in writing so noone complains, since they are a black company).
The worst is probably however the fact that more staff means she's less valued - so she will likely receive paycuts or even get fired because they need to downsize and she requires the wage of a senior/manager position. Or simply because they want to ruin her working prospects as an attempt to force her into being an adventurer. So would need some guarantee of not being fired too.

And that is before even considering the magnitude of the reward: they clearly wanted her enough that she could probably have solved all her current problems in one fell swoop - damages house, overtime, guarantee of anonymity, maybe even rule-exception allowing her to officially/legally do adventurer work despite being a receptionist.

You know what, forget clobbering the guildmaster.

They should add an additional reward that all the receptionist(Who works their share) be given vacation with pay.
The rotten ones and the guildmaster should handle the leftover work, and it will continue until they do the work properly.

So, if she accepts the quest, basically she's doing something that is not in her job description for the sake of something that is in her job description. I hope her new colleagues, at least, are as competent as she is, and will not push their jobs onto her.

Anyway, wow, wow! The flashback seems to be for the next chapter.

For a girl who hates overtime with a burning passion, she sure takes on more and more overtime work no matter what.
And assuming the guild master moves staff from other branches to Ifur, wouldn't that create a couple of branches that'll be short staffed? Which would essentially just push the problem somewhere else.
Oh and surely she'll only cooperate this time. And the next time. And the time after that...

How does this economy even function. If dungeons are disasters that need to be dealt with (or at least have people sent in with the sole purpose of culling threats) then it doesn't make sense to keep this new one secret. It'd make sense to want dungeons cleared ASAP because they'd just be a net drain.

If, instead, adventurers are tasked with quests because the dungeons contain useful resources and people farming it produce wealth, then destroying the dungeon should be the equivalent of ruining an industry or local employer, and nobody should want that to be done.

She ended up breaking the boss drop from the dungeon, but she's also paying off her house loans?
