Caught up on this one. I agree with people who say this is dumb. It's kinda funny and readable, but it's not something I expect much of.

MC is dumb and works much harder than several alternatives for better pay, shield guy is dumb for being unable to understand a "no", all antagonists have just been raving loons and despite that one managed to outsmart them, and the rest of the characters aren't exactly better. Well, I guess the two extra party members don't seem like complete morons.

Still, as I said, it's so far not bogged down in incomprehensible random plots or five-arc long tournament arcs, so so far I'm with it.

no one actually think that rumor and false info is more dangerous for the guild at least? rufus doesn't need to know who or what the executioner is, he just have to spread rumors and gossips that the guild works with a monster or maybe a demon, and then the only way to end it is to disclose who the executioner is and no one wants that (for now)
the only way to keep his mouth shut without at this point in time is to kill him, maybe later we'll see that lol

This reminds me of stories people tell about “funny” matchmaking they got in their MMO gameplay. A stupid asshole DPS that forgot he can be silenced simply by the tank not pulling and healer not healing. The difference is that there won’t be a chat for the DPS to moan after.
