WHAT!? This is the first time I've heard about Manga bring the best version and Novel is actually the rush one.
well all of us need to wait eh? sadly WN is too outdated and no longer good enough for reference.
The WN is only about 30~ish chapters long. It was incredibly rushed. Most of the characters have gotten more fleshed out compared to their WN counterparts.
Rosemary and Einrich in particular are actual characters rather than plot devices to be used and discarded. In WN, They were just used to progress plot then pretty much forgotten about.
Tigur too, he was only mentioned at the very end of the WN. He has a proper role in the manga.
Serena and Evan, these two now are developing their relationship properly with some mystery bits. WN was like whiplash speed run with no development. Just “hey now they like this, deal with it.”

She's holding scissors, clearly hates her superior adoptive sister, and has all sorts of issues. Clearly, this is not going to end well for her. Rosemary, that is.
Is she gonna make a fuss and blaming FMC for "harrassing her" or "making her a harrasser to paint her as bad light" and her mother gonna take rosemary side? while father was out buying milk again? because he would take her side since he's decent man but we would not get silly drama so author will surely make him away.
In the WN, Rosemary and Einrich would do the ye old villainess engagement annulment bit. Rosemary catches Einrich with a noble girl he fell in love with, Rosemary would destroy stuff and bully said noble girl. Einrich annuls the engagement publicly. However Serena objects on the grounds that only the parents of both sides can annul the engagement. This upsets Einrich, he attempts to attack Serena with a sword and fails, he gets arrested by Evan’s guards. Einrich basically gets jailed, fate unknown due to rushed WN. Rosemary gets sent away to learn how to be a noble because she refuses to go back being a commoner but the place she gets sent to has extremely strict standards, so it is hinted that she’ll likely fail and be stuck there.
The rest is pretty much a single event that rushes Serena and Evan’s so called romance. King’s concubine attempts to use a monster against Evan to kill him. Evan saves Serena at the last moment from the dying monster. Serena gets pissed off, kills the King’s concubine. King’s guard find the corpse with the head cut off. Serena stays by Evan as he’s comatose, king visits, both of them comment how stupid Evan is. Evan wakes up complaining not to call him stupid. King leaves, Serena and Evan share kisses and Serena says that he should always be by her side watching her.
It is all very fast for the WN. No real developments like the manga
A taste of the novel is the pre-Academy arcs in the manga.
The story is basically moving from one short event to another, where the events are barely connected.
The academy arc here had been taking slower pace in comparison, and have more characterisation.
There’s chance the author is already hands off in most part, and the editor+mangaka got more freedom to revise the story. Her Twitter at least doesn’t actively promote the manga, and more of her enjoying life as otaku.
He is immediately removed from the royal family.
While he is given a new peerage (since he did have royal blood), his reputation is terrible. Einrich’s conduct made the King have to bow his head to someone of lower status (Duke Violet) to apologise for what his son did. This is a black stain in the royal family’s reputation.
For the noble society, this means the royal family hates him, he did made the king lose face.
Later on, his mother’s attempt on using her family’s influence to harass the Violets also backfires and they got their corruption exposed, so Marques Hernest’s family also no longer hold as much political value.
No nobility in their sane mind would want to strap their family in political marriage with such a liability unless they’re desperate.
So Einrich is guaranteed to have problem getting a decent marriage. He will likely just get leftover, daughters with so much problem they got no suitors while growing old. And they will also likely be of low status, so say good bye to the living standard he afforded while being a prince.
I thought the WN also described that much...
Well, not good at remembering details.
This is translation from the WN version. The most obvious ringer being Tigur not existing in the story. He is an addition in the LN version.
There’s also the matter of Einrich and Rosemary’s relationship.
The WN never explained why Einrich is engaged to Rosemary, so it’s assumed he actually liked her. The political motivation and revealing Heinrich trying to court Serena is in the published version.
She doesnt bother to harass Serena because the second prince was busy in love with another counts daughter. Rosemary instead harass the counts daughter instead and the prince decided to break the engagement with Rosemary
Serena however informs the second prince that its not something he can decide because it is a royal engagement. Prince gets angry and things happen, engagment is officially broken and second prince lost his title or something.
Rosemary also was not free of fault. She was given option to be disowned as a noble or go to convent and be a nun and she has no choice but to choose the latter
