its been a while since I read the WN and this arc specifically- Does Akira seem more.. distrusting of Alpha in the manga compared to the WN??? Or at least, he seems more aware what their relationship really is. In the WN he was a lot simpler minded and seemed easier for alpha to control. At least from what I remember that is.

Distrusting of Alpha? No, not even almost.
More aware? Absolutely!
Like in the WN, Akira doesn't catch or even consider everything Alpha does to guide him, but he understands in totality that all of this is training and support is preparing him for Alpha's ultimate task, and accepts that as fact.
LN/Manga Akira though has a lot more agency and particularly stronger relationships with those around him (most of the girls here, except Sheryl... yet).

I believe a page is missing, so the above page numbers might be off.

Wow, while re-reading the chapter I have a feeling a page (at least one) got lost somehow... (Maybe during doing revisions?)

At the moment Page 11 ends with "let's not encounter them", and Page 12 starts abruptly with "That means a lot of hunters were killed by them."
I remember there was a ~week long time-skip with mentioning the bounties being multiplied before the current Page 12...
