I think maybe you need to rethink your teaching strategy if you're making students cry just because they forgot to write their name on the test.
In a small class environment like that it's mean, but it's a good habit to force students to have so when they get to college, they don't get actual permanent zeros because they turned in a scantron test with no name. Not to mention the exam being 25% of your grade or something. So I totally get why the teacher would do it like this. Fear gets imprinted in your brain preeeetty deeply.

At least it seems like he does it for a good reason (to get them to not be careless) and he does give them credit for the work actually done on the test and some positive reinforcement after.

It's miles better than her teacher from the flashback that half-assedly scolds her classmate for teasing her about her test score, then turns around and puts her down just the same.

Don't remember starting reading this for the Vietnam Flashbacks.
Finally another good little story between the two.

Oh, btw, more than one time I tried Public Concurses and while doing the test I saw people getting disqualified because they forgot to put their names or didn't read the first page with the explanations and did something wrong.
Is not that hard people!
