Hmm... Honestly, can't see it.

I know that is the "ideal" way to end this off, but all I can see is Mizuki confesses, Sensei rejecting her, Riri coming in again and goes for it one more time, and Mizuki tells her there's someone better for her.

Mizuki and Sensei might still be a thing, but not at this point in time. The big thing in their relationship is the kid/adult thing, so it feels like Sensei would want Mizuki to experience being an adult (as in not in high school) first. They might possibly get together when Riri graduates. Meanwhile, Mizuki will still appear once in a while.

Of course, this could just be me overthinking, but that's the feeling I have.
